Flat Tire

Took my car in for service today and on the way home low tire sensor came on. Of course was almost home went it went flat. Also was on a country road all I had was the factory scissor jack. Cranked it up 2 inches and it sank 1 inch was a real pain. Took me 30 minutes to change the tire. I just had new tires put on a month ago. Good thing I purchased the road hazard warranty. That was my day. Hope everyone else had a good day.

MRI

Had a MRI today and it was the longest 55 minutes I can remember. They asked what kind of music I liked and played it for me. That made it some what better. The first 20 minutes was not bad it was the last 35 minutes. I didn’t think it was ever going to end. Is done and over with hope I never have to do this again.

Make the best of the day.

Panda

Took Panda the the vet a few days ago because she was limping. She has not had a good year 6 months ago she had surgery on her right rear leg. She had tore the tendons in her leg and came thru it very well. The most recant was her right front leg. Found out she has arthritis. The vet gave her some medicine and she is doing a lot better. She still has a slight limp but it has got a lot better. I would be lost if anything would happen to her. For now everything is going in the right direction.

Best wishes to all.

Chase Missed The Cut

Last night at Daytona Chase had a change in the last 15 laps but could not keep the lead. Up until last night he had made it to the championship 7 years straight. He is young and has more chances to win championships. Now he can play the spoiler for the championship 16. I believe he will win this year there is no pressure now. Also he might think twice about snow boarding during the race season?

Xfinity Series at Watkins Glen

The first two segments was some what uneventful. The last segment was the best part of the race. The last two restarts was very exciting. The second to last restart Gibbs ran Mayer wide in turn one then a caution came out then on the last restart Mayer wheel hopped in turn one and turned Gibbs. In the interview after the race Gibbs was upset but if everyone remembers a year ago when he won the Xfinity championship he was turning people and wrecking them all year long. He said most of the time that’s racing. He has done the same thing this year in the Xfinity series. Mayer was just racing him the way he races others.

Chase Must Win

Since Chase has come back from his broken leg he has been struggling. He has had a few good races but not the finishes we are use to from him. At Michigan he crashed about half way thru the first stage. Granted he had a tire go down but in his interview after he came out of the care center he admitted they was not up to speed. Of the remaining races there are two he has the best chance to win the Indy and Watkins Glen road courses.

Wild Fire

We have another air quality alert. The northern wild fires are causing all kinds of health issues. Panda my dog and I had to cut our morning walk short because we both was having trouble breathing. Our morning walks are our lets get started for the day. We try to walk at least 2 miles a day not all at once but it gets done. With this smoke filled air we are lucky to get in 3/4 a mile a day. The rain we have had has helped a little. Hopefully they will get it under control soon?

Like everything else we will get thru this.

Have a wonderfull day.

Street Race

The Chicago street race was different but somewhat enjoyable. Chase had a bad start to the weekend and having to start in the rear. Finishing in the top 3 helped. Chase needs to win to get in the championship he needs a lot of help to get in on points. He seems to be getting back in the groove since coming back. This weekend at Atlanta is a good place for him. He has 6 more chances to win he can win at all the tracks left.

NASCAR Stage Racing

Stage racing is a good idea but I don’t like that at the end of each stage they continue to count laps. For example in the truck race last weekend the first stage was 45 laps the second stage was to be 50 laps. They ran 8 caution laps before the second stage was started. The fans lost 8 laps of racing. The 3rd stage was to be 55 laps. There was 6 laps of caution so in total the fans lost 14 laps of racing. This was suppose to be a 150 laps of racing. The cautions laps during the stage is ok but not between stages. The fans in this race lost 14 laps of racing. I believe NASCAR should rethink how they do this. I think they should stop counting laps between stages?
